About the Author

I would love to have a list here of all my accomplishments in the field of dementia and cognitive decline, but the truth is that I am just like you. I am a daughter/mother/sister/friend doing my best as I make my way in this world. I too have dealt with the life changing effects that Alzheimers disease brings to a family and take small comfort in the fact that we are in good company. With one in three seniors dying with some form of dementia today our cohort of caregivers is growing daily.

One day we may be on the other side of the equation with our kids taking care of us and our muddled minds which is why I wrote this book. I want my daughters to know how I feel right now while I am still able, and you can too. This will be something else we have in common.

I live right around the corner from my girls in Sherwood Park, Alberta. Yes, we have cold winters but it is totally worth it!
